712 North Union Street, Natchez
For the authentic experience of historic Natchez, the accommodations at The Burn are the perfect place. Each of our rooms is lovingly, painstakingly created to match the home at the height of its splendor. And they all come with the latest in 21st century comfort. Full baths. Heating and air conditioning. Flat screen TVs. It’s history in a cozy setting year round.
Circa 1834, The Burn is the historic home of the John Walworth family for more than 100 years. The only exception was the three years that Union forces occupied the home as a hospital upon evicting the Walworths. The original dining table is still in the home, as is the original china.
We offer tours daily to all of our guests, served proudly with wine and hospitality. As the full splendor of this three-story mansion is revealed, it will be easy for you to imagine the full scope of Natchez in its heyday. We also participate in the Fall Pilgrimage, including an authentic historical recreation of the period dress and manners by our staff.
And every early morning riser can enjoy our Southern breakfast. We pamper you with an egg dish, biscuits, bacon, sausage, fruit and our grits that our so good they’ve turned hardcore grit opponents into lifelong fans. You can’t miss this most important meal of the day.
