Comfort Suites receives Gold Hospitality Award

VIDALIA — The Comfort Suites Riverfront Hotel in Vidalia has received a 2007 Gold Hospitality Award from Choice Hotels International, Inc., one of the world’s largest lodging franchisors.

Winners of this award exceed Choice Hotels quality standards for Customer Service, Housekeeping and Product Quality.

This year, all Choice hotels were judged based on a customer focused awards process that measured the hotel’s ability to meet guest needs. The Vidalia Comfort Suites Riverfront Hotel earned this prestigious award because it was among the top hotels in the Choice family of brands, meeting several key thresholds important to achieving guest satisfaction.

First, the hotel scored high marks for cleanliness and property maintenance.

Second, they maintained a low ratio of guest complaints.

Third, they had no more than one “unresponsive” guest complaint on record over the last year.

Fourth, the hotel met or exceeded Comfort Suites standards and fulfilled the promises of the Comfort Suites to consumers.

Finally, guest surveys revealed that they were much more likely to recommend this hotel to friends and family following their stay because of the great experience they had.

“The Vidalia Comfort Suites Riverfront Hotel won this award because of their attention and dedication to providing the highest level of guest service,” said Chuck Ledsinger, vice chairman and chief executive officer, Choice Hotels.

“They should feel very proud of reaching this milestone.”

Owned and operated by Jackson Enterprises, the Comfort Suites Riverfront Hotel features 102 guestrooms and three meeting rooms that can accommodate up to 200 people as well as an indoor pool, business center, work-out facility, riverfront patio, restaurant, lounge and more.
