Natchez offers many shopping opportunities

Natchez is an antiques lovers paradise.

Several downtown streets are lined with antiques stores creating “antiques row.”

Local restorers often work to finish and save pieces before putting them up for sale in downtown stores. Some items are native Natchez, others come from elsewhere.

Downtown is also spotted with other eclectic shops including children’s clothing stores, furniture stores, book stores, gift shops and shoe stores.

Shops line Main and Franklin streets, making the area a good place for window shopping. Downtown stores are all within walking distance of each other.

Many area antebellum houses frequently on tour also feature gift shops filled with Mississippi and Natchez-unique goodies.

The Natchez Mall, on John R. Junkin Drive, includes a Belk, JCPenney, Shoe Department, a bookstore and other clothing and accessory shops. The mall also includes a four-screen movie theatre.

Several shopping centers on the highways include more small gift and clothing shops.

In Vidalia gift shops and flower shops line Carter Street, offering residents a good selection of wares at local businesses.

Natchez and Vidalia both have a Super Wal-Mart, and Natchez has two Walgreens Pharmacies and a Big Lots, among other chain dealers.
